February 2010: We're Almost There.

This is the view of Auto Parts City
commuters traveling on Washington Street are getting to
know. In the foreground is the auto-sales building, and in
the background is the
10,000-square-foot used parts and tire-sales
building.

 |
(Above left) The buildout of the customer counter
in the retail building is well under way. (Above right) A
closer look from the opposite corner. The emphasis in
the retail area is to give customers a feeling of being in a
modern and well-maintained auto parts center.

service area.

Meanwhile in the fluid removal building
  |
Two high-capacity Crow Environmental fluid evacuation
machines are kept busy removing automotive fluids in
anticipation of the facility's opening. As the picture at
the right shows, even luxury vehicles like Cadillacs
(foreground) and Lexus (background) will be recycled
some day.

And finally,
Last month's update featuring this
hallway in the retail sales building was used as a metaphor
to represent the long passage those of us who have been
working to develop the new APC have experienced.
Now, back by popular demand, an updated look...notice the
light at the end is burning even brighter. |
